Periodically throughout the year our Occupational Therapist and Registered Social Worker hold a Mindfulness Group series. Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the founder of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and the Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. In the video below, he defines Mindfulness.

Dr. Kristin Neff is an Associate Professor in Human Development and Culture, and is a pioneer in the study of self-compassion. Self-compassion is an important aspect of Mindfulness, but for some people it can feel uncomfortable at first.
