***We have created a 'Mindfulness for the Holidays' page! Click here for the 12 Days of Mindfulness***

On this page, you will find a collection of resources about Mindfulness, including video, audio, and text files. If you are new to Mindfuless, please start with the items under the "Introduction to Mindfulness" heading. If you are already familiar with those items, work your way through the supplementary resources under the "Mindfulness: Step 2" heading.

Periodically throughout the year our Occupational Therapist and Registered Social Worker hold a Mindfulness Group series. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and website Events Calendar for the next offering. You can also contact FHT reception and have your name added to a waitlist to be contacted the next time the group is offered: 905-704-3660.

Dr. Kristin Neff is an Associate Professor in Human Development and Culture, and is a pioneer in the study of self-compassion. Self-compassion is an important aspect of Mindfulness, but for some people it can feel uncomfortable at first.  Read about this foundational aspect of Mindfulness on Dr. Kristin Neff's website here:  Self-Compassion by Dr. Kristin Neff and find more resources under the 'Practices' section of her website.
